A poem for today… When despair for the world gr

A poem for today…

When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

This morning my mum sent me this poem because I told her I have my coffee outside with my rabbits nowadays. They are such peaceful, silent creatures.

My apologies that I’ve been a little off grid recently. I think after covid, when everything reopened, I took far too much on and gave myself burnout. I’ve had to take a step back and then the kids and I have been a bit poorly with all those colds going around. So all in all I’ve ended up taking quite a bit of a break from work!

The problem with being self employed is that there’s no one else there to pick up the slack. Therefore I wanted to say thank you to my customers for their patience. It’s been longer than I’d have wanted getting your images back to you. But I’m almost caught up now and I can’t wait to show you all some of my latest work.

In the meantime, here’s Stan. One of my gorgeous bunnies. Sneakily stealing a taste of my jade plant in the lounge while he was staying out of the rain.

Sorry for the ramble… thanks as always for supporting local business and I hope you’re all able to take a little time out when times are hard too.

Aren't they just absolutely stunning? They absolutely nailed their little session this morning... until we tried to change their outfits... but models have to be divas right?! hahaha.

I've had a little time off this last week to catch my breath and catch up with family and friends.

Thanks to my patient customers for allowing me some time - it's so hard sometimes when you work alone to put work down!

But here's little Theo! He came in for his birthday celebration last Friday!
