Family Portrait Sessions
Studio and outdoor family portrait sessions in and around Sandbach,Nantwich and the rest of Cheshire, North West UK.
Families are loud and chaotic and wonderful and nobody stands still. I know that. I’m not looking for perfection, I’m looking for you. The way you lot actually are together, the laughing, the squinting at the camera, the toddler who’s having absolutely none of it. That’s the real stuff and that’s what I’m here to photograph.
I’ve been shooting family portraits for ten years and what I’ve learned is that the best images come from families who feel relaxed. So that’s my job. I direct when it helps, I step back when it doesn’t, and somewhere in between we make something genuinely beautiful.
You can choose from three settings depending on what feels right for your family. My studio in Sandbach is warm and intimate, full of fine art props and rich, atmospheric backdrops. My favourite outdoor location in Nantwich brings a completely different energy, seasonal, organic, alive. Or if you’d rather stay home entirely, my lifestyle sessions bring the whole thing to you.

Session Options
Two sessions, both completely personal to your family. Both include a gallery slideshow viewing back at the studio after your shoot.
A £100 deposit secures your date, this comes off your session price on the day of your shoot.
Klarna and payment plans are available.
Signature Family Session — £350
Focused, warm and beautifully crafted
Up to an hour together, working through key portraits of your family. Guided, relaxed and never rushed. This is the session for families who want something intentional and personal without a full day commitment.

Heirloom Family Session — £650
Your family, your story, told fully.
One to two hours with space to really explore. Multiple setups, different groupings, individual portraits of the kids, the whole works. Extended family are completely welcome too. This is the session that gives us room to tell your whole story rather than just a chapter of it.

After your session
I’ll usually send a sneak peek on the same day so you’ve got something to share while you wait for the full gallery. Once editing is complete, you’ll come back to the studio for your gallery viewing, a slideshow of everything we created together. We’ll choose your favourites and talk through how you’d like to display them. Albums, wall art, framing. I’ll help you figure out what’s right for your home.
What should we wear?
Comfortable, coordinated but not matchy-matchy is the sweet spot. Think tonal rather than identical, and avoid anything with bold logos or busy patterns. Neutral and earthy tones tend to work really well with both my studio and outdoor settings. I'll send a full wardrobe guide before your session.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes, and I love it when families do. Pets are part of the family and they're completely welcome, especially at the outdoor location. Just let me know in advance so I can plan for it.
Can we include extended family?
Absolutely. The Heirloom session is ideal for this. Grandparents, cousins, the whole lot. The more the merrier as far as I'm concerned, it just means a richer gallery at the end.
What if the kids won't cooperate?
They almost never cooperate perfectly and that's completely fine. I'm experienced with children of all ages and temperaments - I actually used to be a teacher for 7 years and have two of my own, one of which has special needs. I know how to get the best out of them without it feeling forced and some of the best images come from the unplanned moments anyway.
What if the weather is bad for an outdoor session?
I'll keep an eye on the forecast as your date approaches and we'll make a call together. If we need to switch to the studio or reschedule, we'll find a way to make it work.
Do you offer discounts?
No, and that's the same for everyone. What I do offer is Klarna and flexible payment plans across the session and any products afterwards.
