“A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life.”
– Isadora James
At my cosy home studio in Sandbach, it’s always a pleasure to greet beautiful newborn babies! Little Eadie Rose was no exception! As an added bonus I was also asked to photograph Eadie’s older sister Hettie Mae who was an absolute superstar.
It was such an honour to capture the first photographs of Eadie as she was still in that 2 week newborn stage all curled up (apart from one leg that just wanted to stretch out for the whole session!!!). She was just the sweetest little girl and absolutely loved being wrapped up tight for the potato sack pose. She won the prize for the most smiles! 3 smiles in one pose!
Eadie’s sister Hettie was just beautiful and looked after her little sister really well. I think sibling shots are completely essential in a newborn shoot and I love doing them! You can tell from Hettie’s face just how excited she is to be a big sister but also a little wary! Hettie stayed for the whole session and was very well behaved – She even got involved in photographing her baby sister! At the studio I have a collection of toys and a television to keep older siblings amused or it’s often a good idea to bring another family member who can take them for a walk.
Here’s what Eadie’s mum said about her experience with Little Primrose Photography:
Lisa, thank you so much for the fabulous photo shoot of our beautiful girls, we’re so pleased with the results, the photos are perfect and that’s coming from a perfectionist designer!! You made us feel totally at ease and I was more than happy to hand over my tiny little bundle to you. Well done…we’ll definitely be back. From Rich, Abi, Hettie & Baby Eadie xx
As Eadie’s Dad couldn’t join us on the shoot we arranged to do family photographs at a later date so that the family didn’t miss out on that opportunity. As he couldn’t be involved, Eadie’s Mum made sure to take lots of phone snaps throughout the session which included lots of behind the scenes images! Here are a couple of my favourites. Just look at little Hettie with my toy camera, getting involved!
I take bookings for newborn sessions after your 12 week scan. Please get in touch to book. I limit how many newborn bookings I take per month in order to guarantee availability and make sure we capture those early days while baby is curled up and sleepy.
